Who is Momma?

My name is Dawn, AKA “Momma Knows”, and I live in Eastern Washington. This blog has existed in one form or another for 6 years. Previously titled House and Homeschooling, it has gone through a few changes and morphed into what you now see. I write about whatever happens to strike me at the time, but usually the topics fall within the realm of homeschooling, parenting, and home making. I am a Christian, a sinner saved by grace alone through my faith in Jesus Christ.

I’m a homeschooling mom with nearly 12 years under my belt, and I still don’t know everything there is to know about homeschooling (LOL). Every year we look at our children and make a decision based on their needs. We have come to realize that we really don’t like the influence that being in public school has on our children, and while we have homeschooled, tried public school, and done a combination of the two while involved in a parent partnership program, we find that nothing compares to having them home.

I have a MySpace that I don’t use, and a Facebook that I do (I have three teenagers), but unless I know you or have gotten to know you via blogging, I don’t make that stuff public, sorry. I post blog updates on Twitter for everyone.

Eventually I will have these arranged by grade, but for now they are mostly 1st- 4th grade or so, except for a few of the books.
